Hellier Langston completes double lockdown lets

Hellier Langston has recently completed two lets that they have been progressing during the coronavirus lockdown period. The two contracts, which are for two separate units at Fareham Industrial Park were signed last week.
Unit 42 has been let to IPA Cleaning & Hygiene, a leading supplier of janitorial and medical products. IPA were existing tenants who were looking to upsize their premises to accommodate their growing business. In taking on this 9,000 sq ft unit, they have almost doubled the space they had previously.
Unit 43 has been let to UK Custom Covers, a Hampshire-based company specialising in the manufacture of customised covers for various vehicle needs including custom hardtop covers, boot liners, soft top roof protectors, seat covers and camper van covers. They previously had a storage unit outside of the area, but after significant business growth, they decided to upsize their premises and bring them together.
Units 42 and 43 were previously let by one tenant and at expiry of their lease, the landlord - Aberdeen Standard Investments - fully refurbished the units to a high standard which was integral in attracting the new occupiers. It was this, coupled with the units’ close proximity to J11 of the M27, providing excellent access to the south coast, that sealed the deal on these two lets.
Although both of the occupiers agreed to the lets before the lockdown was announced, it was Hellier Langston’s dedication during this challenging time that got everything agreed and in place so effectively and efficiently. When the restrictions were eased slightly on 13 May, Hellier Langston were able to organise inspections that needed to be undertaken on the properties on behalf of both clients.
Both tenants have now taken occupation of their respective units and IPA have already relocated after fitting out the premises. UK Custom Covers are currently fitting out their unit ready and expect to fully occupy the space in the next couple of weeks.

In such challenging times, the quality of the space definitely helped secure these two lets.”

Hellier Langston have made the whole process completely seamless, particularly in such a challenging period.”
Hellier Langston are also marketing Units 32-34 Fareham Industrial Park for let, which are owned by the same landlord. Units 33-34 are currently being offered together, providing 11,067 sq ft of warehouse and office space.
