New Tenants Move in at Eastleigh Works

Hellier Langston is pleased to announce that the first new tenants at Eastleigh Works have taken up occupation. Map Group (UK) have moved onto plot 315, whilst Sentry Self Storage have opted for plot 310.

Map Group (UK) is one of the leading independent providers of professional technology services to the UK communications sector. They are planning to use Plot 315, a 0.42 acre site, to service their contract rolling out fibre optic broadband across southern Hampshire.

Sentry Self Storage is one of the longest-running self-storage operators in the UK, a family owned and run business. They are using Plot 310’s 1.2 acres to relocate their Eastleigh operation from Toynbee Road to Eastleigh Works.

Both plots have been resurfaced and secured with 2m palisade fencing. In addition, all mains services - including power, water and BT communications - have been brought to the sites to allow the tenants to install their own portacabin offices.

The rolling programme of development at Eastleigh Works will see further surfaced sites (either Type 1 or concrete) of between 0.47 and 2.66 acres being made available, along with new-build industrial units providing spaces of between 4,327 and 14,055 sq ft.

Sites are available by way of a new lease and on terms to be agreed. A service charge will be payable to cover security and maintenance of the common parts of the estate.

Eastleigh Works is owned by Diageo Pension Trust and asset managed by Savills Investment Management, with the redevelopment being project-managed by Aitchison Developments.

Eastleigh Works is located on Campbell Road,which leads onto the A335 Southampton Road. The M27 J5 is 1.7 miles to the south, the M3 J13 is 1.4 miles to the west and the M3 J12 is 2.2 miles to the north, all providing excellent access to the surrounding areas.

Southampton Airport is just 1.5 miles to the south, Southampton Docks is 9.8 miles away and Portsmouth Docks just over 20 miles away via the M27 and M275.

Plots 300, 307 and 320 (open storage sites) are currently available for let. Plot 300 is 0.57 acres, Plot 307 is 1.20 acres and Plot 320 is 3.18 acres in size.
