Kitchen Furniture Firm Shake Things Up With Purchase of Denmead Industrial Property

04/09/2018

Acting on behalf of private individuals Hellier Langston has sold industrial premises of 27,600 sq. ft. at Parklands Business Park, Denmead to Higham Furniture.

The premises were formerly occupied by the engineering company Rimor who fell into administration in Spring 2017. The owners were therefore left with an unexpected issue of finding a new occupier for the property.

Higham Furniture design and manufacture high quality bespoke kitchen furniture and have been operating for nearly fifteen years. The move will allow the company to continue to grow following a full refurbishment of the property. Managing Director Tim Higham said "We have been unable to fulfil the demand for our bespoke kitchens and furniture from our current location and are excited to find a property with the potential to allow us to significantly increase our productivity and capability”.

Andy Hellier, Director of Hellier Langston who handled the marketing of the property on behalf of the vendor commented “it is great to see a successful manufacturing firm acquire the property. It had long been assumed that given the age and location of the property it would be of significant interest to residential developers. However, given the dearth of industrial property readily available on the South Coast, we received strong interest from a number of owner occupiers.”

We have been unable to fulfil the demand for our bespoke kitchens and furniture from our current location and are excited to find a property with the potential to allow us to significantly increase our productivity and capability.
