A recent flurry of activity has seen three new instructions through our Management team’s door, in recent weeks, for Landlords looking to take a step back from the day to day management of their properties.  These include a parade of shops in Drayton, Portsmouth (pictured), an office building in Denmead and a retail portfolio in Southampton.

Each presents different challenges, with the recent bad weather highlighting previously unidentified maintenance areas in many older buildings where proactive management has not been in place in the past.   Despite the challenges, the initial process with any new instruction is simple:

  • Consider the leases and rights of third parties
  • Assess the property for immediate and planned maintenance issues
  • Maximise value, both short term revenue and capital value
  • Develop landlord and tenant relationships
