New Clinic For Former Pompey Physio
Acting on behalf of a private trust Hellier Langston have negotiated the sale of a former meeting hall at Salisbury Road, Cosham to Gary Sadler Physiotherapy.
The 1,000 sq. ft. hall has been in the same ownership since the 1930s and fell within the same planning use category as a clinic and therefore planning permission for a change of use was not required.
Gary was physio to Portsmouth Football Club throughout their time in the Premier League which included 2 FA Cup Finals. Since starting in private practice in August 2010 the business has flourished and Gary outgrew the existing clinic and was looking to expand and include complimentary services such as personal training, sports massage, acupuncture and pilates.
Derek Hellier had “suffered” under Gary’s hands as part of his recovery from knee surgery and was aware of his requirement so when the premises became available at Salisbury Road, Derek identified them as being ideal for Gary’s expansion.
Gary said “I originally started on my own working in isolation but always felt the need for myself and my patients to expand into a clinic environment that could offer a better facility for patients to improve.
I was fortunate that Derek Hellier came to me as a patient and we started to discuss the ideas that I always had of putting a team together under one roof to cater for our patients’ needs. We have now built up a team of 2 Chartered Physiotherapists, 1 Sports Massage Therapist, a Pilates Instructor and a Personal Trainer who offers weight management and nutritional advice.”
